Delta Glossary

When working in the Delta system you will come across some specific words. Here are our definitions:

MediaMezzanine(Mezz)The video file that is stored in the Delta system will be used as a source for the export. 
Source fileThe studio master that has not been confirmed to be used as source. The Source file might need re-cut, channel mix or transcoding to become a Mezzanine file
Result filesFiles that are used in the export. They can be the same as the source file or converted to other framerates, bit rates or mixed with subtitles
ProxyA low resolution file to use for playback and confirming the video
SubtitleSource fileThe studio master that has not been confirmed to be used as source. The Source file might need resync or exported to another subtitle format
Mezzanine(Mezz)Files that are confirmed and ready to be used for the export
CheckinDurationLenth of video file (HH:MM:SS)
ResolutionSD = Up to 720 widthHD = Up to 1080 width4K = Up to 4160 with
BitrateData bit per second
Audio tracksLanguage of the audio tracks in ISO-639-1
FeatureFull length movie
TrailerPromo video 
Rights
IntIDUnique ID number that identifies the asset. The ID is created in Delta
ExternalIDIdentifyer taken from external system
ExternalID22nd identifyer taken from external system
MovieSingle asset that can be a Movie or a program. Each movie can have a trailer added to it in tasks. 
SerieThe serie level is the parent object that has its own metadata and images. The serie has the season as child. Each Serie have at least one season and episode.
SeasonA season is connected to the serie and can have its own metadata. The season has the parent of serie and child as episode.
EpisodeThe episode has it own metadata, images and video asset. The Episode is connected to the parent season. 
StudioUse this if you like to track the production company,, studio provider of the content. 
SVODA defined period during which a user has access to a package which will renew itself automatically for the same period if not cancelled. Typically monthly or yearly subscriptions are offered
TVODA defined period during which a user has access to an asset. When the period ends the user loses access automatically. Typical for TVOD with e.g. 48 hours access
FVODFree assets.
EST (Electronic Sell Through)A user buys the right to access an asset whenever and how often she likes. The period is defined in the licence agreement
